Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of Turkish Society of Pediatric Nephrology (TSPN) I would like to invite you to CME course which will be held at Kaya Hotel, Izmir at October 6th, 2012. The course is organized by Turkish Society of Pediatric Nephrology and supported by ERA-EDTA. We would like to thank ERA-EDTA for their valuable support to educational area.
The title of the course is ‘ Genetics in Nephrology: from DNA to kidney disease.’ In parallel with increasing place of genetics on nephrology and considering demands of pediatric and adult nephrology fellows, we intended to organize a course to give a perspective in principles of genetics and discuss genetic basis of some kidney disorders . Course is mainly aimed the adult and pediatric nephrology fellows as well as young nephrologists. It is designed to enhance their knowledge and skills beyond the basics, so that their clinical practice could be further optimized and their patient outcomes improved. It will be tutored by internationally recognized experts, mostly from, Europe. The course will include lectures, interactive problem sessions and “hands-on” sessions which will be delivered in small groups of 10-15 participants, who will solve different clinical problems under the supervision of the experts in the field. The working language will be English. The total participant number is limited with 100 in order to make interactive small group studies possible. There will be also limited number of travel grants for young nephrology fellows. The course will be accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and by the Turkish Medical Association (TMA).
